Our second Autumn Season here at Ft. Polk...
Not far from Downtown Leesville nestles a beautiful family farm.
Each Fall, the owners transform their rolling property into their very own, "Anderson Farms Pumpkin Patch."
I remember getting here last year, just days before Halloween, scurrying down all the "back roads" trying to find this place... Everything had already been pretty much picked over, but we managed to find our perfect pumpkins. As always, we visited with the owner a bit, a school teacher ~ turned Pumpkin Farmer. She decided to follow her creative instinct, instead of being tied down to the usual. What a wonderful thing she did too, because now she has allowed families to create their own yearly traditions and memories for a lifetime.
This year Anna's PDO class took a trip, so I have some photos from that day, and the day that we went as a family...
I am not quite sure why my photos are somewhat scattered in this blog. I must've chose a different setting when I uploaded them. I guess I need to get the cobweb's out (Hee, Hee!) and give my fingers a better work out soon!
Hope you have a fun filled Halloween ~ Take care!
