Still here...

Yes... we are still here. Haven't "blogged" in a while. I guess we've been busy, but really nothing much has gone on lately.
Hmmm... where does the time go?
Josh and I recently discussed how Louisiana and Minnesota really aren't that much different from eachother... except for the fact that down here...
1. Customer service is never, ever carried out with a sense of urgency.
2. There are bigger pot holes in all the roads. (actually, the biggest ones I've ever seen in "my whole entire life")
3. It will become hotter and muggier than anyone would ever want to experience. (MN has the cold winter vs. the hot, muggy summer)
4. There is every type of nasty bug known to man living here - (Yes... MN has bugs and critters, but they are just not as big and gross, nor as mean like alligators and snakes)
5. The food is way too spicey.
6. There are no good radio stations.

What we found in common thus far...
1. Last names - in MN there is Kriedermacher (pronounced Kride - ah - mocker)... in LA there is Brandeaux (pronounced Brand - O ) - - - it took me forever to figure out what "Geaux Tigers" meant on everyone's t-shirt down here. I thought that "Geaux" was a name of a town.
2. There is a "swap shop" on the radio.
3. Mosquitos.
4. Life in a small town is boring. Don't get me wrong, I love small town life, it's just boring.
Um... I think that was it.

Today was a kicker for Anna. First, she had me rolling over when we got home and, as always, she announced she needed to go "potty" - but then followed up with, "Mom! Can I have one of Dad's magazines so I can poop?" Why is there never anybody else around to hear this stuff??

Then, while I was fixing supper (she was upstairs with Josh while he was getting ready for work) she comes trottin' down the stairs and says, "Mom, look at me!" She went for the reddest possible lipstick I had in my make-up case. Not a mark anywhere in the bathroom, and nothing else was touched... and she didn't do too shaby for not being able to see herself in a mirror. Oh, my...

Oh, by the way...
I FOUND MY CAMERA CHARGER!!! It only took 5 months, but I was re-organizing bags in a closet and found it in a back pack! If you know me, you know that this was driving me insane because I like to be organized and "everything has it's home." Geez...

Oh, and one more thing -
No more ER *sigh* - can you believe it??? I can totally remember watching the first episodes when I was in high school. O.k. I don't specifically remember the first episodes, but I do remember that I watched it a lot back then. Then it sorta fizzled for me after I joined the Army. Recently I started watching it again because I knew it was going off the air for good. I feel sad about this. It makes me wonder if this is another sign that I'm getting old. I mean, is this what it was like for my parents when Cheers, Dallas, and Falcon Crest went off the air??? Oh man! It just hit me that ER will be to Anna and Forest what Dallas was for me - weird.

Well, it's probably obviouse that it's late - I ramble when I get tired.
Nighty night... God bless!
