Meet Stanley...

The trip to Houston started out great. We settled into our room quickly and were having lots of fun just "hangin' out."

Stanley, (known around the world as "Flat Stanley") was sent to us by some friends back in MN for their daughter's school project. The goal is for us to take "Stan" with us to local, interesting, and cultural places in and around where we live. I thought it would be even better to take him with us on a trip out-of-state to TEXAS... Houston to be exact.
Most of our trip was geared around a conference that we were attending, but we did get some free time...
So we headed to the closest, easiest, quickest, stress free-est, attraction near our hotel.
the NASA Space Center in Houston. Yes... there are probably a MILLION other things to do in Houston, so why just the Space Center? Mostly, because we haven't been to Houston yet and for me - I'm always wanting to take on the world when I travel, and for Hubby, his vacations are meant for TOTAL RELAXATION and he would be completely content staying in one place. So, in most cases we compliment each other quite well by "KEEPING IT SIMPLE." - - - and we wouldn't get lost or have to deal with too much traffic.

Overall it was FUN! (maybe a bit out of the toddler realm, but it worked...)

Maybe more fun for the adults though...

And Stan seemed to be enjoying himself too!

However... on the way home - Stan just didn't seem his usual self...

Turns out, a two year old, no names mentioned... decided to have a little too much fun with Stanley! Yikes!

If anyone has any great ideas to tell the little girl that Stan belongs to about this please feel free to share... I need to come up with something fascinating that would happen to a world class traveler, like ...
