The sun is shining. The rain, cold, and mud are now gone...
Let's get caught up on some unfinished projects!! Boy, don't you all wish we had a boss this sweet to work for??
You might remember way back when... My dad came for a visit and made a wonderful kitchen for Anna. During that visit he also whipped up a barn for Forest. It's a simple barn, but very durable and tough, which is just what little boys need. Forest loves openning the top, walking around the back and slamming the lid closed. (Yes... Mom has taught him to be careful of his fingers please! but, hopefully he doesn't learn that lesson the hard way.) It's also big enough for him to sit inside of - which makes for a wonderful hiding place, several neighbor kids love it. Isn't it amazing what just a few pieces of plywood can make!!
Well, now that the sun is out, we've found some time to "put a roof on it" and paint it. The roof was easy, just spray on textured grey paint... which made it look a lot like a real roof. The afternoon provided for a long nap for the busy little guy, but Anna needed to help make sure it was done right... see how concerned she was while Daddy taught her how to paint "with the grain."
What a great team!
