Last Halloween my old digital camera broke. It still took pictures, but somehow the zoom button fell off which made it really hard to take any sort of good picture. I still used the camera, mostly out of desperation - and found out I could use a toothpick, yes a toothpick, to zoom if I needed to. The harder part was getting Anna and Forest to hang in there long enough for Mommy to stick the toothpick in the little zoom button hole, keeping the camera in place, and a foot out to distract Forest.
Many of you are probably thinking, why didn't she just go out and buy a new camera??? good question, I don't know.
Anyway, a few weeks ago my mom "squared" me away and sent me (well, us) a new camera for an early Anniversary gift. That was right about the time I began this blog...
So, I was all set - until last week, after taking a few pictures of the kids the camera just shut off and the lense didn't collapse. I thought, well, maybe I used all the battery and plugged it in to charge it up...
Yeah, that didn't work. The battery is fully charged, but the camera will still not turn on, nor will the lense close.
So once again - I am out of the taking picture business.
Luckily it can be replaced because it is within the 30 day warranty perioud. Which reminds me, I need to call the store my mom purchased the camera at...

SO glad it was within the warranty!! Good luck getting it replaced.
Talk about great customer service. I called the company today - they emailed me a return UPS slip, and said a new camera was already on it's way!!! It showed up today on my front steps, and I haven't even boxed up the broken camera yet!!!
