So - finally got a new (but same) camera.
We headed to the park today. I had to work so we had a rather early morning... but still had enough energy to go for a walk with a couple neighbor ladies, followed with a stop at the park. Anna and Forest had lots of fun! Forest spent off a lot of his energy running around the sidewalk that circles the play equipment.
Anna had a try on a "big" swing. We chuckled because at one point she wasn't even swinging, but was singing away about how "swingin is fun...la la...I like to swing..." She likes to make up her own songs. She's her own little super star. Lots of times you can catch her singing quietly and shaking her head lightly as she drags out the endings.
A special "Welcome Back" to our new (but old) neighbors, the Malone's. Ashley and her son moved home for the deployement. They used to live kitty corner from us, but now moved back in right next door!! We are excited to have Michael back as a play mate. More importantly this is yet another sign that we're almost done... yeah!
Wish me luck with Forest. He's been tackling an upper resp. infection and now may have developed pink eye. Ugh... haven't had to deal with that yet. He's a trooper though, you really wouldn't know he was sick, well... except for the snotty nose, yucky cough, and the goop in his eye - you'd probably think he was a really healthy kid. help me...
Why is it that when your kid gets sick - you tend to feel that they are the only kid in the universe that has a cold and you automatically turn into the "world's worst parent" ??? what's up with that???
Anyway, hopefully he'll get over this soon and doesn't get anyone else sick.
Take care ~ Heidi
