This is just a little "shot out" to the Wright Family in Graham, WA. You have an amazing family and I am so thankful that I have had the priviledge to get to know each of you. You really made today something special for me - I will remember it for a long time, thanks!
For those of you that are wondering "who and the heck are the Wrights?" - let me tell you...
When Josh first moved out here, he was alone, I was still back in TN wrapping up nursing school. Well, he had Buster with him - and his truck packed, but with no where to really live. I even think that one night he camped at a KOA campground??
Well, to make a long story (Josh in WA,no living arrangements, super high cost of living, limited income b/c we just had a newborn and I was still in college) short, Josh had met Kevin Wright thru his mom's, best-friend's, daughter - Sarah Thatcher. Sarah, who also lives out here, knew Kevin from church and Kevin was in need of a roomate - or had room for a roomate, and opened his home to Josh until we were able to get into housing on Ft. Lewis.
So, aside from Kevin's hospitality to Josh two years ago - (even though the first night Josh stayed at Kevin's, Buster peed on the carpet, and there was something about the bathroom sink leaking water everywhere... I know this because Josh called me in a "what to do" panic)
I am once again thankful for this family because they remembered little ole' me today, Mother's Day. Not only did they invite me to their home for Sunday Dinner, but suprised me with flowers and cards, AND at one point I was even encouraged to "stop chasing the kids and just sit" to enjoy a piece of cheese cake and coffee!! Now, how special is that?!
Happy Mother's Day to all you amazing Mom's and Mom-to-be's! It is the toughest, but yet, most rewarding job ~ ever!
